The Foundation for the Future Bicycle Tours are a way to support the educational and extracurricular programs of Liberty Christian School of the Tri-Cities.

Jim Cochran, the Superintendent of Liberty Christian School, is passionate about his faith, education, and the health of our children. He uses these three passions to fuel his mission at LCS. By day, Jim is a school superintendent, spending his time with staff and students and leading the operations of a K4-12 grade program.

After the school bell has rung, Jim often suits up and heads out for ride time. Often he enjoys a quiet ride alone, but sometimes  he can be seen riding  with his students. Jim not only likes sharing the enjoyment of the ride with young people, but he relishes blazing a trail to help them experience a healthy and fulfilling life.

Before relocating to the Northwest in 2014, Jim Cochran lived in Southern California where he and various riders have been raising funds to benefit education and health. Since 2004, Jim and his companions have been there riding for the kids. From 2010 to 2014, his students joined him on an annual cycling tour from Southern California to Phoenix, Arizona. In 2012, he founded Strada Corsa, a nonprofit charity to promote education and fighting childhood obesity.

Jim is committed to the journey as well as the destination. This is not just about raising money, but it’s about raising kids. There are some things that just can’t be learned in a classroom or on a video screen. Jim uses his bicycle rides as well as these fundraising rides as a platform for helping make an impact on these young lives.

Now, more than ever, children need role models and opportunities to get a solid foundation in their education and life choices. The Foundation For the Future Tour  is Jim’s latest effort to raise funds and impact young lives in a positive way.
